“xilofono” is a modular system for outdoor furniture, designed for Cantiere Galli Design (Rome, IT) and developed in collaboration with La Pietra Compattata (Modena, IT).

The system, which can be used to create seats and tables, consists of a set of stainless steel parts that are connected with nuts and bolts. On top, the unbaked tiles by La Pietra Compattata - made from reclaimed stone granules - make for colourful seats and table tops. They are fixed to the frame with just two screws, allowing users to change the colour composition of each element. The full set of componenten can be easily demounted and flat-packed, ensuring easy storage and transport.
